Happy Father's Day

As each Father's Day passes I come to realize more and more each year the importance that God places in men to be a leader in the home. To work hard, lead and love their wife and children and most importanatly to seek God each and every day for the wisdom that is needed to live this life for His glory.

I never want to take for granted the men that God has placed in my life. I am thankful for grandfathers and fathers who set before us a legacy of commitment and love for their families.
Jon,
Elliana and Jedidiah are so incredibly blessed to be able to call you "daddy". You are such a blessing in each of our lives!

Dad (Grandpa Steve),
You are such a great dad! It has been so fun to watch you become a grandpa and to love on my kids. Thank you for loving mom the way you do and for the way you sacrificed for our family growing up.
Norm (Papa),
I am so thankful that my husband has such a committed father that has led his family in a manner worthy of following. Your a super great Papa too!

And because we are all very flawed, imperfect people I am so thankful that we have a perfect heavenly Father who will never hurt, never dissappoint, will love unconditionally and who is full of grace.

God has said, never will I leave you; Never will I forsake you.

Happy {almost} 5 months buddy! We love you so much!

life on the farm

The days are long... ...the work is hard...
...but we are so blessed beyond measure...

...and we truly love...

...life on the farm!

Uh oh!

Let me preface these picture by saying-
Elli loves a good mud hole... and daddy was in charge!

I was watching from the kitchen window as I was making supper and I don't think there was any "uh oh" in this situation... it was purely intentional! When she came into the house covered in mud from head to toe I at least needed to get a few pictures to make the cleaning up process worth it.
