a {30th} wedding anniversary surprise

my sister and i had been plotting and planning this anniversary surprise for awhile! let me tell ya... a good SURPRISE is not easy to pull off but we did it! mom and dad were completely surprised and it was so fun to see the look of shock on their faces when they walked in and saw us all! just look at them...
first things first... family picture! we barely let them get over the shock before we plopped them in front of the camera!

tom and tessa made an amazing meal complete with bbq pulled pork and all the fixins'!
no wedding is complete without the CAKE!
some momentos from their wedding day 30 years ago!

the newlywed game {they both won!}

the bride had to wear a veil!
cutting the cake.... they were such good sports!

we gave them a scrap book that contained pictures from the last 30 years
admiring dad's short shorts from the 80's... that was a good look dad!

30 years and still going strong! we love you both so much! such a joy to celebrate this milestone with you!

harvest supper

visiting daddy and delivering supper to the field... harvest is in full swing!

i said put your pants on

getting out the door with two kids is a challenge to say the least! especially when they are at the stage where they can un-do what you have already done! on this particular day elli managed to undress herself a few times. i figured if she can manage to undress you should be able to re-dress. so i asked her to please put your pants on! she went into my closet which was fine... thought she needed some privacy! and she came out with these...

quite the fashionista..if i do say so myself!

digging...

... and digging...
...found it...

...that's better!

see ya! what a sweet little park ranger he is!

thank you for the example that you have set before me.
